I Love My Uggs

By: Leighanna Montague (View Profile)

I have to tell you about my shoes of choice. I must preface: I would never have spent this kind of money on myself. My UGGs were a Christmas present from my dad and step-mom. However, when these wear out I will be buying myself another pair.

I put them on when I get out of the shower and don't take them off until I go to bed at night. I even wore them out in a blizzard yesterday...twice.

UGGs of Australia are the epitome of luxury and comfort. I would buy them for my kids if they didn't grow out of shoes every 6 months. Not my husband though, he makes fun of me when I wear them in public, maybe because they are “Lilac.” Perhaps my next pair will be “Sand.”

Ahhh Uggs... I love them. There is nothing more comfortable than a new ugg on a cold morning. Even though so many cannot stand them, I challenge ANY critic to find a more comfortable shoe. I agree, its a little silly seeing a 16 year old in a tiny mini skirt and tank top to be wearing tall uggs as a fashion trend in the middle of July, but I admit I have four pairs of these godsends and I have worn them in the summertime. No matter how many people call them out of style, I will stand by my Uggs.

I love mine too, they are my 'house boots' even when the weather is nice. I finally figured out what I love about them, its not just the toasty toes, its the ankles. I realized when my ankles are warm the rest of my body is too, weird huh?

I stand beside you (toes toasty warm) and declare to the world my UGG-love. I was reluctant to buy myself a pair for three reasons: they're not cheap; I'd rather spend that money on impractical shoes; and every Manhattan teenage princess drags her pedicured feet around in a pair. A cold weekend of ditching my ballet shoes and borrowing my teenage cousin's uggs changed my mind. Forever. I found a new pair on e-Bay for $50. My little piggies don’t cry wee-wee all the way home anymore.
