Sitcoms in Crisis: Do We Expect Too Much of Them?

I would also consider developing a sitcom or two that might appeal to kids. Frankly, I think ABC might fare better on Tuesdays from 8-9 p.m. with Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, two sitcoms on its corporate cousin Disney Channel, than it has been with Cavemen and Carpoolers. Then again, I’m from the era when the broadcasters programmed in part to children and earned their loyalty for decades to come.
