I’m going to Australia this summer and I’m excitedly planning “side-trips” to New Zealand and Bali while I’m there. Bungee jumping in New Zealand has always been on my “bucket list”—though I didn’t actually know such a thing existed until I started seeing trailers for the movie over the holidays. Now I’m obsessed with creating a list of places I’d like to visit, or experiences I’d like to have, before I “kick the bucket.” What’s on your bucket list?

My Bucket List - To visit a vineyard in Italy and make wine. To sing with an all black church choir "Oh Happy Day," Taste the worlds finest chocolate. To tell five certain people exactly what I think of them. Pay off all my bills and the bills of three other people I love. Be a decadent food shopper for ever and ever at the local supermarket without caring if anyone looks into the cart. Chill in Greece then go to Chili and eat greasy food. Change my name. Prove to my old boss that he/she was a loser for ever letting me go, on national television. To love and be loved in return. Watch my Ex-husband's second wife slap the recess money out of him until it makes him weep in public, and then I would walk over to him and ask if he's okay, and then I'd tell him he better stay put cuz she's comin' back for seconds; and then he'd have to thank me. (oh man...I gotta go laugh outloud....)
In need of a sponsor! I'd like to wake up one day (soon) and walking across America... maybe the southern route and then heading north and walking back home along the northern route (zig-zagging even to hit more states) and meeting people along the way of course but I imagine coming back very different than when I left... I'm ready to start walking, I'm just in need of a sponsor... I'm serious... so contact me if you would want to sponsor me... maybe advertise on clothing or do a documentary? Serious inquiries only...

My 'Bucket List' is too long a list to post. Although I've traveled extensively in the states, there still remains much more I'd like to see here. I'd also like to go abroad & visit Ireland, Germany, Italy, England & The Holy Land. I'm a real history-buff & there is much to explore & see in these countries. But, the most important things in life, to me, are my wonderful family & friends & the relationships we all have together. I have a large family & a few close friends that I'd truly like to make a difference in their lives. I wish to be remembered as a blessing in their lives, knowing they are loved, & so am I.

My list is far too long to detail here, but skydiving (just once) is definitely on it, as is getting published; learning to play, write and compose my own music; figuring out how I can be a positive influence in the lives of people I meet along my journey; leaving some sort of legacy; and traveling more to wherever I land... I've already done and seen a heck of a lot of the things that were on my list when I was younger. I've been to more than twenty countries and 30 states already and I'm not yet 35. Now I think the majority of what's on the list is about being present and mindful in my daily life. Not so much do, do, do... but to just be.

Karmom41. The Bonneville Salt Flats and set a motorcycle land speed record! I had heard of the salt flats before but never paid much attention until the other day I heard something about it, googled it and found a amazing amount of women riders out there. I raced flat track back in the 70's. I still ride, but it has 4 wheels now. I love the sand dunes and going really fast. That is the ultimate freedom for me. I think it would be even more intense On the salt flats. I replied to a add I found the day I googled, it said, "WANTED WOMEN TO RIDE MOTORCYCLE TO BREAK THE CURRENT RECORD AND REACH 300 MPH'. It's called the goldwing project. The bad thing is it has a age requirement of 18-26. What are they thinking? Older means more experience! Any other motorcycle riders out there?
Some places on my bucket list are: view Aurora Borealis, Machu Picchu, the Egyptian pyramids, several sites in India, Tibet, Rome, Jerusalem, Antelope Canyon. In all of those places and even here, I'd like to listen to stories from elders.

Go back to Vietnam and visit the places where I served and meet some of the Vietnamese that I worked with. No interest at all in the canned tours of Hanoi and Saigon. See the remains of the Buddhist school I helped build and the communists destroyed. Find the child that I took to cleft palate surgery.

By the way before I die I want to sing in a chorus; produce a documentary; drive a race car in a real race for amateurs; have enough money to take a few hundred people on a dream shopping spree. Every day I think about these things.

I just saw the movie this past weekend. I love both Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. We take so much for granted and do not realize that if we look closer to the people around us we could find joy for a lifetime. We all have dreams deferred as Langston Hughes once said. But they are just deferred for as long as we want them to be. We do not have to wait until we are told that we only have a given amount of time to live. My father used to say that we start dying the minute we are born. It is our job to make that "bucket list" as we start to realize that that life it is too short. I listened to a favorite oldies radio announcer that says that "everyday is like a wrapped gift". We do not know what ifts we will get; sometimes they are wrapped to surprise us. Sometimes, we forget that a simple view of the full moon on a clear night is a gift. How wonderful to have sight and to relish every minute that God's gifts have to offer. Carpe Diem!

It's silly that I always have wanted to go to France and I lived in Italy for four years and never made it! But I hope to get back to Europe and see France and eat some fresh from a cow cheese.
I'd like to go back to the house I grew up in and see if my "height" marks are still on the closet door in the basement!

I'd like to see England and other parts of Europe. I'd also like to visit a lot of places in the United States. I'd also like to feast on all kinds of gourmet goodies and drink lots of fine wine at lots of nice restaurants without worrying about calories or the cost. Any adventure I do I'd like to spend it with my husband and hope that I leave this world knowing I loved and was loved.

Before I die: Choose which island in the South Pacific where I will set up shop, exhaust the concept of adventure, have some love affairs with foreign men where I can't wipe that s**t eating grin off my face, jump out of a plane, take a large chunk of time to give service to others where it's needed most (post-disaster or the like), sit a 20 or 30 day meditation course, sit in Mali or Guinnea Bissau and learn to drum and dance, climb Kilimanjaro.
For now: dance on a beach in the slapping surf on the shore to brilliant House music with tanned skin and salted hair, travel to: South America, more of Central America, and Africa, see some glaciers in Patagonia b/4 they're all gone, sail a bit around the world, date, get this next book written to my liking and share what needs to be shared to make a difference.

Shimmy up a coconut tree in Fiji and learn how to tap a straw in it and drink straight from the coconut. Visit Australia, New Zealand, Greece, and the entire continents of Africa and South America. Learn how to surf and windsurf. Go wine tasting in France and wine-taste again in Italy. Take a cooking course in Italy that "forces" me to live there for at least 6 months. Ditto on what Midori said: just for starters.

Asian activities now top my “bucket list.” First up would be spending Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. Quite frankly the promise of seeing a super-sized parade, lion dancers and stellar fireworks there on a mild February night appeals to me much more than watching that big ball drop in frost-bite inducing NYC. I’d also love to do the Hill Tribe loop around Northern Thailand – preferably on the back of an elephant! It would be faster than trekking on foot, so I would have lots of time left to shop in those funky little markets.
