It seems that we voters may already be a little tired of the presidential race. According to The New York Times, internet searches for McCain, Clinton, and Obama have dropped to their lowest rates since early this year. Visits to political sites have also dropped off significantly. Given how exciting the race has been so far, I think voters will re-energize soon. Do you have voter fatigue? If so, do you think your interest in the race will return?

Having this long of a campaign turns running for President into a full-time job. This is not only for the person running but for their staff and consultants. The debates will hopefully be enlightening. The men can talk about substance and the idiology of change might be reckoned with.
I love this race! Finally a chance to agree, think, debate, disagree and feel passionate about our political process. Going to hear Barrack or Michelle Obama speak have been some of the best experiences of my adult political life. They are well spoken, educated and uplifting - but the best part is that the audiance is filled with young voters that have caught on to the importance and the love of our political process! Seeing these voters fills me with hope for our country and its future. Open your eyes! These are the most important of debates - your future choices hang in the balance. Listen hard.

I'm a news junkie, and usually politics interest me, but I'm so tired of hearing about the Democratic race that even if I was a Democrat I wouldn't vote for Hillary or Obama. Also, I don't think its fair that neither Hillary nor Obama will step down so that the other can work on their campaign against the Republican party. Normally I tend to lean towards the Republican side and this might just be the straw that broke the camel's back, I might have to declare myself so that I won't accidentally be considered a Democrat. They are embarrassing not only themselves, but their party.

My husband comes home from work every single day and turns on MSNBC, FOX News, CNN and whatever other station has politics on that day. He drives me nuts!!! When he's not watching it, he's online looking at it. Or even buying biographies about the life of a particular politician. I've never been so into politics. I would watch and read whatever the news highlighted that day, but he is just a fanatic. I cannot wait until the elections are over. And if his politician loses, I think I'll be staying somewhere else while he deals with the devastating news!!!

I admit that I am a political junkie. Having said that... I think the primary season starts too early and drags on way too long. I am getting tired of the constant e-mails, mail, and phone calls asking for donations to my political party.I actually got a phone call recently from the opposing party asking me to donate money. That was a fun conversation! The amount of money that is spent on these campaigns is embarassing when you think about the state of the economy. too many people are out of jobs or are workimg in low paying jobs. Over 40 million Americans do not have health care insurance because the cost of the premiums are so ridiculously high. The high cost of gas utilities, and food have many more going without the basic necessities of life. Think of all the issues we could address with just the money spent on the campaigns. And don't even get me started on the cost of Iraq in money and human life....

I think that 2 years of listening to the bu--sh-- is much to much. We need to reform our way of electing these politicians. When I hear how much money is spent on the election my blood boils and I think of how our children can benefit from that money. And if they put all of the money into health care, everyone would be covered.

No! I really don't give a shit about politicians. They may call themselves democrats and republicans, but in the end, they're justa bunch of millionaires looking for power to soothe and stroke their egos and line their pockets with gold squeezed from the blood stained grip of the common mass. Don't kid yourself anymore! You want to make a difference, start a revolution...every country should have one every couple of centuries to burn away the greedy rich fat cats that have clogged the arteries of true democracy...but that's just my opinion, little darlin's.

Just as store put out Christmas decorations the day after Halloween, I think they put out the 2008 candidates too soon. Yes, I'm tired, but I'm also highly invigorated about an election, which is more than I can say about the last two elections. So in the meantime, I just shut off the TV and am waiting until I do a happy or miserable superdelegate dance come convention time.

I think my interest has waned a teeny bit in the past few weeks, most likely because we're between primaries now and everything is a bit on hold on the Democrat side. I think that we'll see another upswing next week with Pennsylvania, and a huge flurry as the convention approaches.
