Straight, Sleek Hair the Fashion Week Way

At New York Fashion Week, straight hair was all over the runways—whether long and loose, teased and wild, or put back in a pretty ponytail. These styles show how long, straight hair can be anything but boring, and how easy it is to a get sleek styles at home. Check out how celeb stylists from Redken, Oribe, and TIGI got the look at five different runway shows.

California Cool at Skaist-Taylor

Designers Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor are known for their breezy, California aesthetic (they did found Juicy Couture, after all), and the hair at their namesake collection’s presentation was no different. Lead stylist Kien Hoang created the swingy, natural look (inspired by Rolling Stones progeny Theodora Richards) using Oribe Hair Care products. “It’s very youthful,” he said. “Effortless, but done. He sprayed the hair with Oribe Foundation Mist and blow-dried using gel serum, which gives equal amounts of shine, hold, and body. Once the hair was dry, Hoang ironed the hair with Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray, which makes the hair feel more lived-in and tousled. (Oribe.com)
