For everything in life, there’s a hard way and an easy way. In beauty, the hard way involves liquid liner, painstaking skincare regimens, and precisely applied matte lipstick. In general, I am a fan of this. Going the extra mile is usually worth it.

Except on those occasions when you just need something to be easy. You’re tired, you’re lazy, you’re just not feeling it. That is when you need a wipe. A wipe that does the job and makes things a little simpler, quicker, and less brain-intensive. Stock up on these wipes and delegate your cerebral cortex to more productive pursuits. Because sometimes it's nice to take the easy way.

Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Facial Towelettes—The newest member of the Yes To family contains grapefruit extract to cleanse, exfoliate, and liven up skin. The zesty scent is a nice literal—and figurative—perk. ($5.99, Yestocarrots.com)

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads—With alpha, beta, and gamma-hydroxy acides, these pads firm skin and even out skin tone. Swoosh, swipe, and you’re instantly younger. ($45 for 60 pads, Beauty.com)

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes—Even waterproof mascara is no match for these powerful wipes, which remove makeup just as good as an old fashioned scrubbing. ($7.99, Ulta.com)

Kate Somerville 360° Face Self Tanning Pads—The perfect amount of self-tanner, so no streaks. What could be easier? ($45 for 12, Sephora.com)

e.l.f. Studio Lotion Wipes—It’s moisturizing lotion, in wipe form. Great for on-the-go hydration or just being incredibly lazy. ($3, Eyeslipsface.com)
