At the March 23rd Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Anderson was inspired by the teal and metallic tones in Jessica’s dress, and gave the star a soft, glowing makeup look accented with one bright pop of color—a perfect choice for spring.
Anderson allowed Jessica’s radiance to shine through by applying Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation ($11, Avon.com), which evens skin tone while providing a natural finish, then she touched up imperfections using Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer ($70, Neiman Marcus). A mix of Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer ($32, Ulta.com) in the hollows of the cheeks and Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Tumulte ($43, Nordstrom.com) on the cheekbones provided just the right amount of contour and definition.
Anderson complemented the teal in Jessica’s dress by using Avon Glimmersticks in Aqua Flash ($7, Avon.com) to create a pretty pop of color on the lids, tracing a thick line along the upper lash line. Then she readied Jessica’s eyes for the cameras with two coats of Avon SuperExtend Infinitize Mascara ($9.50, Avon.com). A bold pop of color on the eye called for a pretty, neutral lip, so Anderson applied Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick in Lovey Dovey ($8, Avon.com), a warm pinkish rose color.
On Jessica’s hair, stylist Gio Campora channeled 1990s supermodel glam with these loose, sideswept waves. To get the style at home, scrunch John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse into wet hair and spritz with Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Curl Perfecting Spray before blow-drying with a round brush and focusing on lifting the roots near the crown. Then use a large-barrel curling iron to create haphazard spirals and mist with Frizz-Ease 100% Shine Glossing Mist for extra shine. (products $5.99 each at Drugstore.com)
