Product Review: Stila Holiday Gift Sets

The holiday gift set season is upon us! It's my favorite time of the year, even if it does mean that I have to take the time to start thinking about buying Christmas presents. I wait until the last minute every year!  This season always makes me giddy for caramel apple cider at Starbucks, cozy knit sweaters, and, best of all, tons and tons of holiday makeup sets—hip, hip, hooray!  With all of the wonderful holiday sets starting to appear on shelves, it really does make it the most magical season!  I haven't tried them all yet, but so far Stila is the clear winner at the moment. They are offering a ton of fun stuff this year and the best part is you can already find a lot of it in stores. Stila has a plethora of products that I can’t wait to tell you all about.

The Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set is the best value you'll find anywhere. For only $28, you get three separate Lip Glazes, packaged in three different trios. Separate the set and give the little bundles as gifts to three of your friends. I’m in love with Stila's Lip Glazes because they're full of color and shine, and they tie it all up with different delicious scents—Melon is one of my favorites!  The glosses range from sheer to full coverage, so you have your pick of how much color you want to wear. The Lip Glazes come equipped with a click pen dispenser making them easy to apply. It's such an easy $28 to justify, especially if you're looking for a few little gifts for your cubicle mates at work.  They'll love you for being so thoughtful and no one will ever know each set cost you less than $10.

If you're looking for an eyeliner set, look no further than their Color Outside the Lines Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner Set. It's quite a mouthful, I know!  Stila's Smudge Sticks are some of my favorite liners around because they come in gorgeous shades, don't tug at your eyes at all when you apply, and blend easily. For $34, you get a cute little tin with a wide range of colors in it—Emerald, Navy, Aubergine, Stingray, and Lionfish.  The emerald is such a fun bright, but the Stingray and Lionfish colors (black and brown, respectively) are perfect for every occasion and will be permanent additions to your morning makeup routine. It's such a great value too for only $34.That's less than you would normally pay for only two of them so it's basically like getting three for free. Even the Grinch would approve!

We all usually end up traveling around the holidays, or, if not, heading to tons of different social events, so sets that can make packing or getting ready easier are always welcome. The Color Me Pretty Lip & Cheek Palette has six different shades of creamy color that can be blended on either cheeks or lips. Blush is one of my least favorite products to buy so anything that can make it a little more exciting to me is always a perk. Plus, because they're not powders my dry winter skin will be a little more moisturized along the way. And, like the other sets, this one has a great variety of shades—everything from nudes to a red to their iconic Kitten shade.  At $28, this is one palette you'll want to pop in your bag for quick touchups before heading out for drinks after work. It’s a definite holiday staple!

Now that I've tried all three of these great Stila palettes, I can't wait to play around with the ones I haven't yet seen in person.  Bring on the holiday parties!
