The Hottest Nail Looks from Spring 2012 Runways

Say it ain't so! From the looks of Fashion Week, it's safe to say that come spring 2012, we'll be putting away our favorite jewel-toned and glitter-infused polishes (sniff, sniff) in favor of soft neutrals. But spring's nail trends will still include snazzy pops of color in hot pink, orange, and red. Check out a few of the looks that OPI and co-founder Suzi Weiss-Fleischmann created for Fashion Week.

It’s official: neutrals are on their way back. At the Rebecca Taylor show, models sported Stranger Tides, a gray-green from OPI’s 2011 “Pirates of the Caribbean” collection. Photo credit: OPI

Over at BCBG, the look was even more subtle. The manicure du jour was done with OPI’s Samoan Sand. Luckily, this must-have delicate nude polish is part of the brand’s permanent collection. Photo credit: OPI

The best runway beauty, like this minimal-makeup look at BCBG, is beauty that’s wearable in real life. Photo credit: OPI

Jason Wu Nails

At the Jason Wu show, color was definitely still in. Wu is known for feminine and well-tailored separates and dresses (think Michelle Obama’s inauguration dress), and for his Spring 2012 show, the garments were accented with a bright and unexpected punch. Photo credit: OPI

Models wore orange-red MonSooner or Later on their hands, and neutral Samoan Sand on their feet. Photo credit: OPI

Matching lipstick and polish is definitely on-trend. To perfectly complete this eye-catching look, pair with an orange-red lipstick like Becca Cosmetics Sheer Tint Lip Color in Alina. Photo Credit: OPI
