So A-Rod isn't (naturally) perfect. And Domino magazine won't be arriving in my mailbox anymore. And Target's Orla Kiely collection was sold out days before I remembered to check it out. And officials in Birmingham, England have decided to stop using apostrophes in street signs. But look how great this bright pink and bright blue necklace is!

This hand-pierced sterling silver fan flower charm and fine silver necklace is the product of a collaboration between screenprinter Amy Prior and silversmith Ceeb Wassermann. I've long loved Umbrella Prints designer Amy Prior's beautiful and modern screen-printed patterns on organic fabric, so I'm very excited to see that she is now working with talented jewelers to bring these delicate patterns to life. Such a pretty statement piece.

I love the idea of hanging a miniature space explorer around my neck. It brings to mind space mantras to live by like "Patience, young Jedi," "Houston we have a problem," "Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?," and "Take your protein pills and put your helmet on." This adorable little astro star is 3/4-inch tall and dangles from an 18-inch delicate but sturdy silver chain.

Ahem, if it was a certain special someone's birthday, she'd be certain to feel a special sort of excitement for someone if she was to receive this gorgeous neckoration as a gift. It's a geode slice collected from artist Jenny Vorwaller's travels in South America. It bursts with light-catching crystals, is edged in silver, and is paired with a detailed silver plated starfish charm. Pretty (please!).

I have the feels-like-winter-but-I-want-to-look-like-spring blues. It's compounded by the fact that all major retailers have replaced woollies with frillies and florals. They want us to buy ahead for sunny days but in this climate, who can afford to shop for something you can't wear right now and then? This pretty peachy necklace could soothe my spring yearnings without draining all my winter earnings. It'll look peachy now with jeans and woolly cardis and later with camis and strapless dresses.
