Mustache Pint Glasses
I'm spending the long weekend with friends in Martha's Vineyard and thinking that I should bring a little somethin'-somethin' in the hopes that they'll invite me back next year (and the year after that, too). These mustache pint glasses from Bread and Badger are just the jobbie; they're unique, fun, and sure to get plenty of use over the weekend. Other designs include astronauts, chickens, snails, bicycles, and guitars. Drop B&B a line if you'd like a mixed set.
$28 for two; $52 for four

Wood Candle Holders
I once lied about making potato salad. I had planned to make my own, but didn't have time and so I picked it up from Trader Joe's instead. I didn't pretend it was my own, I just didn't deny it either when someone complimented me on it. Long story short, I was called out and I will never again bring potato salad to a party. This set of six rustic candle holders made from responsibly-sourced Douglas fir would make a lovely hostess gift, though they'd need to be feeding me well and putting me up, too, to earn them––they're that nice. They're packed in a bed of their own bark shavings and placed inside a simple brown box; no one will believe I made them myself ... or will they?

"Paper" Boat Serving Set
I'm not one for nautical-themed dinnerware, but come on––this paper-boat inspired serving set really floats my boat! The salt and pepper shakers resemble buoys and the ceramic bowls suggest a folded paper boat. Oh think of the fun you'd have serving your salad with those teak serving oars. Great thank-you gift for the friend who lets you borrow her beach house.
$9–$33
