W3ll People
"Hippie tested, diva approved" is the mantra behind W3ll People's line of "chemical free, karma rich" skincare and cosmetics. Developed by a dermatologist, makeup guru, and treehugger, this playful line of organic goods contains proven, medical-grade nutrients that won't add to the mounting toxins each of us face—or apply to our faces—on a daily basis. Products are sold in small batches because they are chock full of live, active natural ingredients and packaged in eco-friendly packaging. I'm dying to try their Narcissist foundation and Universalist eye, cheek, and lip stick.
$38 (Narcissist); $33 (Universalist)

Spa Goddess
Ugh, I so need a rock star detox from Spa Goddess; I only wish it was because I've been partying like a rock star. Formulated to draw out the toxins and pollution from your body, to exfoliate dead skin cells, and to make you feel like a shiny new penny, the botanical oils in this all-natural scrub (a blend of Dead-Sea salt, organic botanicals, green tea, therapeutic clays, essential oils, and lots of love) will moisturize and deliver all sorts of goodness to your skin and mood. Spa Goddess has a great selection of aromatherapeutic bath treats and organic goodies, too.
$4.25 (detox scrub)

Marie Veronique Organics
Marie Veronique Organics was created in the kitchen of former chemistry teacher, Marie Veronique Nadeau, and fueled by a simple desire to age gracefully—with the help of nature, but without harming nature. She uses "intelligent ingredients" and consults with her intelligent daughter Jay, a professor of physics, to make sure products integrate the latest on how skin ages and how to naturally counter those effects. I've heard great things about this line and need to test it out. Would love to start with the Anti-Aging kit; a cleanser, anti-aging mist, anti-aging oil, and tinted, moisturizing sunscreen.
$170 (anti-aging kit)
Comments
I love the MVO Anti-Aging Kit. Started using it last year and tossed everything else in my make-up bag. Marie is a wealth of information on non-toxic beauty. Check out her blog for the latest tips and research on green beauty. http://mvorganicsblog.com
