A couple who had been married forty years was approached by a fairy Godmother who would grant each of them one wish to celebrate forty years of marriage. The fairy Godmother asked the woman what she wished for and she said she’d love to travel the world with her beloved husband and the fairy Godmother waved her magic wand and produced two tickets to travel around the world.
When the husband’s turn came, he figured since this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and he was only granted one wish, he said his wish was for a wife thirty years younger. Both the fairy and the wife seemed upset, but the fairy granted his wish. She waved her magic wand and said, “Poof, you are ninety-two years old and have a wife thirty years younger.”
The morale of the story is to be careful what you wish for and remember your fairy Godmother is a woman.
