Breaking Out

A water stops in the misty June
bellowing calls of Friday nights’ gloom
stuck in the walls of this hazy doom
someone cries “We all.”

We work all night and laugh all day
adults yell out to the children “We want to PLAY!”
Bosses shake heads and say “That’s not the way,”
Fighting the falling the fall.

As if relaxation is the devil
and smiling is her rebel
playfulness is jezebel-uh
Artfully maligning their call.

Work is not worth it
sacrificing the purpose
of living extraordinary greatness
And breaking free from the Wall.
