She introduced herself to Elliot. “Hello Shining One, my name is Zelphyda, and I have been waiting for you for centuries.” Elliot was so stunned by the sound of her voice, that he almost forgot what he was out there for. Elliot then remembered that he needed to find Zarianna at the training arena. Elliot had no clue where that was supposed to be until he saw a massive coliseum.
He decided that he should go over there, seeing as that was the most likely place for a training ground in his mind. “Who would’ve thought that I, Elliot Smith would be the guy who got this awesomeness?” said Elliot. “I mean, I have had a normal life so far; (if you don’t count my parents trying to have me assassinated) I went to school like every kid does, so why do I get all of this glory?”
At that moment, Elliot heard a strange whispering voice coming from his left around the edge of the fortress. He heard this beautiful voice say the words, “Deiu voicae feilr vraldel Zenon tuie fleik dui Elliot….” He came around the corner and saw a sword with a golden blade, which looked like it had fallen straight from heaven, and a giant blue sapphire in the middle. He was just starting to get closer when he heard a loud shout coming from the south of his position. He ran back around the fortress and could just make out a figure standing outside of the coliseum.
Elliot immediately took off in that direction and suddenly came to a shuddering stop. He looked down at the ground and noticed a very shocking sight. There was a giant turtle sitting in the middle of the vast lake, and had the coliseum on its back. “How am I supposed to get over there? I mean I pretty much need to swim at least a mile to get out there!” said Elliot shivering at the idea of having to dive into that crystal clear, and freezing cold, looking massive body of water. That is the moment when he noticed a ship coming inwards against the mainland. He realized that he was in fact standing right on top of their docks.
“Elliot, what are you doing up already?” said a voice in a gruff grunt. Elliot realized that is was none other than the dwarf Teridaus whom he had just recently seen inside the fortress. “How did you get over there?” Elliot asked. The dwarf gave Elliot an Are you stupid? look which made Elliot grin. “Well now, you see I just walked up to the water, turned my head to the ground and said, ‘Hello there, Great Blue, will you send me a ship?’ Do you know what? It worked, of course it did, I have been doing this for the last four hundred years, lad,” said Teridaus.
Elliot was stunned on how old this dwarf turned out to be. I wonder if he can give me some detail on that sword in the middle of the stone, with the sapphire in the middle of it. Elliot said to the dwarf, “What can you tell me about the golden sword with the sapphire?” The dwarf thought for a moment, and then said, “That sword is called Zenon, and has been around for thousands of years. I don’t have anything else that I can tell you, but I am sure that Zarianna has more information.” Elliot then thought about how he was going to cross the huge lake.
“How am I supposed to get across?” Elliot asked Teridaus.
Teridaus responded, “Get in the boat, and visualize where you need to go.”
“But I don’t know what the name of the coliseum is!” said Elliot.
“Don’t worry, the ship knows where you want to go based on your thoughts.” said Teridaus. Elliot gets on the boat, turns around, and the dwarf is gone. Next moment, the boat is moving in the direction of the coliseum.
As Elliot begins to walk around the strange ship, he begins to notice some interesting oddities: there is no rudder at the stern.
When he finally approaches the coliseum, he is approached by Zarianna. She then shows him to his quarters to get his battle gear suited to fit him. On the way to his quarters, he sees many pieces of battle gear that is hung from the walls. The battle gear looks like it hasn’t been used in the past one hundred years. When he finally gets to his quarters, he finds his armor on a wooden statue body. Next to it lies what seems (to Elliot) to be a short sword. In actuality, this is a hand-and-a half sword that is a type of short bladed sword.
I wonder where they got all of this stuff from. Elliot thought. For until this day he had never actually seen a sword before. The fact was, before this day, he would have never believed that anything that he had seen for himself even existed.
