If you thought that today was just another random Monday, think again … it’s National Hug Your Cat Day!   Yes, today’s the day when you stop acting like such a slavedriver and give your cats a break from all their chores and hard work. Let them relax and take a nap for once in their lives! After all, they lead pretty stressful lives, and they could use a chance to just stretch out in the sun and not give a crap about what you think.   Okay, that’s pretty much how cats roll every single day, but there’s no harm in paying your most furr-ociously loveable felines a little extra attention today. There’s a schism in the cat hugging community, with some people celebrating this important holiday back in May, so let’s go ahead and deem June 4th to be "National Hug Your Cat Day (Orthodox)."
