Michael An’gileo feels uniquely blessed to share a message of love received after the unexpected death of his own father. Visited by a blue, sparkling light since early childhood, he later realized this is the Universal guiding light residing in every human being: it only needed to be awakened. The Bluelite Message was published, and today its universal message of infinite love is opening human hearts around the world. Michael An’gileo was born in Kenmore, New York, graduated from USC, and is widely regarded as a preeminent visionary and story-teller about a coming Golden Age for our planet.

How have you been able to use social media (Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, etc.) to help market your book?

The Bluelite Message is truly touching the world. I'm amazed at the number of Facebook Fans it's cultivated in India, Indonesia, the UK, and Ireland. This is largely due to daily Facebook posts and the 40 Days of The Bluelite Message series. Keith Dartman, the sparkling hero of the book, has a Twitter feed with over 350 followers. The book also maintains a high profile on Goodreads, I'm really happy to report.

Do you have any advice for new authors looking to promote themselves on these sites?

Be consistent and diligent with your efforts. The Bluelite Message has highly-distinctive imagery, including the book cover itself. In a sense you're building a brand. The Bluelite Message is a great example of a book that's been introduced globally by really consistent efforts on several fronts, including social media.

What type of writing routine do you have? Any tips you can share about it?

This is my first book. From the start I've been committed to establishing a very close relationship with my readership. The Bluelite Message is so extraordinarily unique, I knew this would require patience and razor-sharp clarity on my part. My readers deserve no less.

How has it been trying to balance your writing with your day job and/or family life? Is there anything you would change?

New books from first-time authors, like my own, on their tireless journey to becoming bestsellers move a bit like a train, gaining speed gradually, and this takes several months. The balancing act requires maintaining your clarity of mind, and sanity, by knowing this. Your job and family life are externals that mustn't take your eye off that prize.

Setting is an extremely important aspect in grabbing your readers attention. What made you choose to set your book in Calico, Oregon?

Calico is actually the name of a ghost town in California, not Oregon. Perfect for The Bluelite Message, which deals so much with the subtle planes of reality and even the cosmos. I lived in Oregon for a year, and I find that state incredibly romantic. The surf, the remoteness, art colonies like Ashland. Calico is fictional, but a composite of these unique places.

What types of books do you read? How do you think they have influenced your writing?

Authors must be careful of what they read, particularly while writing, as everything enters the sub-conscious mind and can affect your work. For this reason I tend to read light fare while writing. The last thing I want is to sound like another author, unless of course he's F. Scott Fitzgerald! He was a true master.
