My Original Lyrics: Confessions of a Broken Heart

I would love to be a songwriter one day, and I am starting now as a teenager. I know you’re probably thinking that this song won’t be good because it’s called “Confessions of a Broken Heart” and I’ve never had a broken heart. But please, read through it and comment. I’m thinking the melody should be kind of pop/country, like Taylor Swift, but more pop.

Confessions of a Broken Heart
Love, it isn’t something
Not something taken easily
Love is something worth fighting for
Love, love
Love it makes you wanna forget

And now I’ve found it
But then he goes and breaks my heart
He broke it good
It can’t be mended now

CHORUS
Confessions of a broken heart
Start right now
I can’t believe I’m doing this
Here’s the story

He broke my heart
And walked away
And never came back
To see if I was okay
But now I see
That he just can’t be
The one
No, not that one

Rejection
Rejection it hurts
I know how it feels
He never loved me
I thought he was the one

I said let’s get married
Have some kids
And live happily ever after
But then he broke my heart
Broke it good
And now it can’t be mended

CHORUS
Confessions of a broken heart
Start right now
I can’t believe I’m doing this
Here’s the story

He broke my heart
And walked away
And never came back
To see if I was okay
But now I see
That he just can’t be
The one
No, not that one

Ooh, ooh, la, la, la
Ooh, la
La, la, la, la, la
Ooh, ooh …

BRIDGE
Knowing someone doesn’t love you
Really makes you wanna cry
It makes you wanna cry your eyes out
Until the pain is gone

Knowing that he’ll never come back
Really beats you down
He might as well
Ripped out your heart
And stomped it on the ground
For the world to see

Might as well
Just go ahead and do it now

CHORUS
Confessions of a broken heart
Start right now
I can’t believe I’m doing this
Here’s the story

He broke my heart
And walked away
And never came back
To see if I was okay
But now I see
That he just can’t be
The one
No, not that one, not that one
No, he can’t be the one
