There are so many thoughts in this mind of mine.
They are without reason and without rhyme.
Unsettled thoughts racing to and fro.
Why is this happening I don’t know.
Sometimes when I get this way, I bend my head in prayer.
Because I know the Lord my savior will always be there.
He is with me day after day.
So why is my mind racing this way.
I believe I am overtired now you see.
That’s when these thoughts sneak up on me.
I try to relax, but I am unable to do so.
The cause for this, only God would know.
As I am trying to release the pain inside.
If only I’d remember, God in my heart does abide.
Breathing deeply I ask God to take them away.
And having faith in God, they will no longer stay.
