Fall Fashion Trend: Fedora Hats for Women

One of the fall fashion trends I most look forward to as we approach the season is hats. I’m never one to discriminate when it comes to headwear, but I must say, the fedora has to be my favorite! Whether it’s in the streets, on blogs, or worn by celebrities, it looks like everyone feels the same way. Hats always bring a cool vibe to any outfit, but the fedora hat takes it to another level. Not only do they serve a functional purpose on those not-so-great hair days, but also keep you warm and transform an outfit. Anytime you want to look chic without looking like you tried too hard, my motto is, throw on a fedora.

A few tips on how to wear it: If the brim of the hat is smaller, tilt the hat toward the back of your head leaving the front of the brim sitting on your forehead. If it’s wide brim fedora sit the hat directly on top of your head.

To wear a fedora in style, I like to stick with basics and easy flowy pieces. I tend to add them to any outfit that’s a bit rough around the edges, for instance—leather jackets, ripped jeans, booties, and fun and interesting coats. Above on the left, Blair wore her fedora with a dress for a super chic dressed-up look, and Helena (center) and I (right) wore ours with jeans in a more casual way. Check out the outfit looks below. You can go monochromatic for an edgy, cool vibe like the look on the top or throw it on with your favorite comfortable pieces like the casual look on the bottom. Either way, you can never go wrong in the style department with a fedora!
