Pantone Picks Emerald as the 2013 Color Of the Year

Begone, Tangerine Tango. We are through with you.   After a year of festive, spicy tangerine everything, global color-forecasting authority Pantone has decided what we’ll all be wearing come January 1, 2013, and that color is Emerald.   “Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance, and harmony,” says Pantone. It’s the color of delightful gemstones and the happy little icon in Gchat that tells you your friends are available to chat. Emerald will help balance your qi and bring you inner calmness. It will create peace in the Middle East and allow soldiers to lay down their arms and take up ploughshares.   Okay, maybe not that last thing. But it will look good on just about everyone. Emerald, available for wear in so many ways, is a good choice. We approve!
