Rock the Trend: Women's Baseball Caps

Fashionable baseball caps for women are quite possibly one of the cutest—and sportiest—current trends. They are friends on troublesome hair days, and easy on and off the field accessories. A ballcap is a weekend staple, whether sported with shorts and a tee or jeans and stilettos.

I particularly like the baseball cap trend because it's a masculine spin on a feminine outfit, but it's a classic look nonetheless. I have owned baseball caps since my wee days, but it hasn't really been chic to wear them out with dressier outfits until now and I couldn't be happier!

Models, celebs, and style bloggers are rocking this trend in so many different ways. I wear my hat with dresses and sneakers, skirts and heeled sandals, and with a bathing suit and tunic. Basically, a baseball cap can double as a sun protector, triple as a hair tamer, and multiply again into being as cute of an accessory as a headband or flower. And there are so many different types of caps available. You can find leather baseball caps in gorgeous natural neutrals or trendy brights, embroidered baseball caps with feminine designs or graphic statements, or ballcaps in fun printed fabrics like florals, plaids, stripes, and dots.

My favorite way to style a baseball cap is with a baseball tee (no, we are not going to the outfield), skinny jeans, pointy heels, and chunky statement necklaces. The skinny jeans, heels, and necklace come together as fancy and feminine, but the baseball cap and tee make the outfit look effortless and relaxed—ready to go to a baseball game to sip frothy frozen drinks or on an outdoor dinner date. I recently wore a polka dotted baseball cap with a striped sun dress, and I felt breezy and accessorized. I also donned it with a white tee, skinnies and sandals as seen above.

The two trendsetters next to me have done a great job of putting together their looks in different ways! Cara on my left sported a chic leather baseball cap to finish off her winter look. Rihanna on my right threw on a bright green cap to keep her look casual and eclectic. Whatever style you're trying to achieve, you can always count on a trendy baseball cap to top off any outfit!
