We’ve seen tons menswear-style shirts on the fall runways, but why wait till fall to test out this easy look? We’re making it one of our right-now spring trends. Worn right, a menswear shirt can look feminine and sexy. Here, we’ve put together four very different ways to pull of one simple shirt.

The Shirt

This menswear blouse ($88) by Splendid has a good slouchy-but-not-baggy shape and it’s long enough to tuck in or wear loose.

Weekend Casual

An oversized button-down is perfect with leggings and riding boots, and totally comfortable to boot. Make sure the blouse covers most of your bum if you’re wearing thin, super second-skin leggings, or just go for skinny jeans that can easily be tucked into equestrian style boots.

Feminine Florals

You don’t need to overcompensate with feminine accessories to make menswear look feminine. Just tuck the top into a floral-print skirt, or half-button it over a flower-print mini dress (make sure the dress hits above the knee, so you won’t look shapeless).

Nautical

Get a modern take on Diane Keaton’s Annie Hall look by pairing the blouse with a tailored blazer and high-waisted khaki shorts: The look is instantly chic, but relaxed—in other words, perfect for spring.

Dressed-Up Layers

If the weather isn’t quite cheery enough your latest tank dress, throw your button down blouse on over it to stay warm and look cool. Cinch it with a belt to create some shape, and add flats or wedges to complete the look.
