I go with Bridget and Jordan’s suggestion. You are close enough that you don’t have to travel too far, and you can save the gas money to have a nice room at an Inn in Carmel. Sometimes you can find good rates on the web, so check it out. I love to just get a nice room, then walk around, visit the shops and eat a nice meal. It is so relaxing, and if you need a bit more, drive into Monterey to the waterfront. So much to do in a weekend, you won’t get bored. Have fun.

That depends on what you are looking for & how far you want to travel. If you are looking for inexpensive yet beautiful, relaxing and full of entertainment, try BRANSON, MO. It is known as the small Vegas only because of the shows & entertainment they offer. Branson has basically no crime & is very affordable. Branson, Missouri has a lot to offer for all age and it is on the web.

If I want sun and beach – you can’t beat the Gran Bahia Principe in Punta Cana DR. This is a very affordable all- inclusive 5 star resort. There is not a blade of grass out of place. This place has everything you can imagine at an affordable price in the Caribbean.

I always go to Trip Advisor.com before I book any vacation & get the facts & rates

Sun Lover

I recommend sunny Palm Springs, CA where I live. We are the sunniest city in America. Horizon flies nonstop from San Jose to Palm Springs. There are lots of bed and breakfasts to chose from in town from romantic getaways, to celebrity hideaways, etc. There are even resorts for topless or nude sunbathing which is very romantic.

Check out our city site at http://palmsprings.com to find nice places to stay.

I second Bridget’s idea… Carmel is an adorable little beach town with some really great shops and restaurants. I love spending a quiet weekend in Carmel, and checking out Carmel Valley during the day to get some sunshine.

Napa is really beautiful and very romantic. There are tons of places to go wine tasting, the scenery is picturesque, and there are a ton of gourmet restaurants and places to stay.

Check out Carmel. Its beautiful, relaxing and only a 2 hour drive away. Theres great food, the beach and its very romantic.
