Beer…not just for men
09.21.2011 - 03:31 am

I have enjoyed trying the many micro beers available now, or beers with lime. Do you think beers are directed less at men? Whats a favorite of yours.

Honestly I'm not a huge beer drinker, but a lot of my girl friends are. One beer I do enjoy is something I tried called a Wood Chuck. It's actually a draft cider, and it's really good. The granny smith apple flavor is most excellent.

I’m also a big fan of Ciders, my favorite is Hornsby’s! If you haven’t tried it you should!

Of all the beers, I would have to say that Budweiser Lime is my favorite. It is light and doesn’t taste like beer at all. lol….

The absolute best beer in the world is Belgian Trappist beer. Duval, Leffee Brune, Orval are just some of the more common available and are delish.

Otherwise in France Pelforth Brune, Italy Peronni Red lable, USA Pabst Blue Ribbon, Anchor Steam Beer, Coors, Schlitz (Oh that James Coburn)

I like Number 9 which is hard to find and Harp which is easy to find. LOL Beer is directed toward men, I agree. I find it funny…..when I was single and going out on weekends to dance, the men all drank while we all had fun dancing the night away. Now, I sit and have a beer with my husband and watch everyone out there dancing the night away. How times they do change.

Mothership Wit by Belgium Brewing is also a great beer. Although, growing up in Wisconsin, I’d have to say my favorite it Spotted Cow by New Glarus Brewing Co.

I love a good Ol Corona with the lime (of course). Blue Moon Belgian wheat with an orange slice. And just about anything from our local micro breweries. They put out seasonal beers that are wonderful.

Some of my favorite beers are Mac & Jack which is an African Amber(only sold on tap) and Red Stripe which is a Lager. Another good one is Stella Artios which is Belgian.

There’s a great article on the site about women and beer. It’s called, Beer Witch. Definitely
worth a read. http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/33710/28303

I love the right beer and finding the ‘right’ beer can be a lot of fun. My husband and I love wine tastings and we’ve found they have beer tastings occasionally too.
My favorite beer is Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. My cheap mood is Bud Lite Lime.
I love a good lager and lime too, especially with some fish n chips.
