Bring on the potluck
declare your kitchen an "open kitchen" for your guests and have people commit to making one meal for everyone, with assistance from the pickiest eaters of course who can alter the meals for their own needs.

I always thought of potlucks as kind of an Old Ladies from Church kind of thing, but then I was invited to one last summer, when I was nineteen, and I had the best time! The variety of food was spectacular, and it was so much fun to have so many options! I loved taking home a little of everything for the next day, too! Now, I've tried to convince other friends that they're the way to go for an inexpensive but very enjoyable dinner!

I absolutely love potlucks. We did one a few years ago for Thanksgiving. We had loads of food and everyone had a great time...probably because he bought three handles of Maker's Mark whisky.

Potlucks are the most manegable way to have a great dinner party. It takes all the responsibility off of the host to prepare the food. When I host I tell all the guests that I will prepare the main dish then ask them to bring compliments to the meal. And wine of course.
