New to Gardening
I live in Northeast Texas and we are having a mild summer (high in the low 90's). I am recently divorced and want to start planting vegetables. Is July/August ok to start planting? I would like to plant maters, garlic, strawberries, various peppers, onions etc. Any advice? I am a beginner and have never planted before. I don't want to overwhelm myself by having a huge garden. I'm thinking a 5x5 would be ok.
Thank you in advance

Hi Dave, with regards to veggie's, it is late in the season. You could buy plants that are already started, like tomatoes or a variety of herbs. Seeds at this point would be out of the question.

Succulents are great in warm conditions. Try different types of cacti.
