It's Barking Mad Here Today!

The healing dogs are in need of a little healing themselves today at day 4 of Southern California's Home & Garden Show. They're barking up a storm and keeping exhibitors on their toes. There are a lot of people walking the aisles on this pleasant Tuesday afternoon and with every person who stops to chat with us, we're hearing a new story, a new perspective, and making a new real connection with people. When people stop and let down their guards enough to believe that we're not selling anything (I took a lie detector test and Midori made a Girl Scout Promise), they are surprised. Really surprised to hear who we are and what we're doing and how we want them to become involved in our community. One woman is actively trying to reestablish the physical connections that used to exist in her community, but somehow fell away because people stopped trusting each other. She and a few of her girlfriends go out to neighboring ranches to recreate the trust. She and her friends will join our virtual community too to see if they can encourage other neighborhoods to follow their example.
