What is a DivineCaroline partnership?
Partnering with DivineCaroline is a great way to increase exposure for your organization and drive website traffic. As a partner, we will promote you for free by publishing some of your content on DivineCaroline.com and linking back to your homepage.
How often do I have to publish? Does the content have to be original?
You may publish as often as you'd like! Of course, the more content you contribute, the greater your exposure will be to DivineCaroline users. Our most successful partners contribute content 2 to 4 times a month. The content does not need to be original nor does it need to be proprietary to DivineCaroline.
Do you edit the content?
DivineCaroline editors read every piece before it's published, but they're just helping to clean up any grammatical errors, ensure that the content is in good taste and adheres with our basic editorial publishing standards. Your words, phrasing and voice will not be changed.
Can I link directly to my website from my stories?
DivineCaroline provides 2 links back to your website within your organization's profile page. In order to give our users the best experience possible and give you the most exposure possible, we try to keep users from going back and forth between too many Web sites. If you reference a specific product or service, you may link to the appropriate site so as to properly direct our users.
Other than publishing content, is there any other way to get exposure on DivineCaroline?
Absolutely. There are many ways to be involved on the site. Some easy methods include commenting on other people's stories, participating in forums and choosing certain stories as "favorites" and "most liked". Also, we're always happy to be a media sponsor for any upcoming events you may be planning. We can promote you and your event on our site via an story, review or potentially a newsletter mention. Finally, there are always opportunities to appear on the DivineCaroline homepage – the landing page for over 2 million unique visitors each month – and the DivineCaroline newsletter. These placements are determined by DivineCaroline editors.
I really like DivineCaroline's content. Am I allowed to publish some stories on my site?
Yes! We love to syndicate our content to help enhance our partners' sites. We can give you relevant content for free provided you display DivineCaroline's name and a link back to the story on DivineCaroline.
I'm ready to sign-on as a partner. Why do I need to sign a legal document?
It's necessary for your organization to grant us a license to publish the stories you approve of and to display your logo and information on the profile page. This agreement protects both of our interests.
I'm concerned by the term "perpetual" in the agreement. Must DivineCaroline always have rights to the stories I submit?
We must maintain the word "perpetual" in the agreement because even if you decide to cancel for some reason, the content is still of value to our users. Since we will have linked to your stories within other areas and users will have checked your stories as "favorites" or commented on them, if we remove all of the content on these pages it would create dead and broken links. This would result in a poor user experience. So, although the body of the content would remain on our site, your company's name and logo would no longer be associated with it.
