Are there any rules about who can publish?
Absolutely not. At DivineCaroline, real voices rule.
What should I write about?
Write about anything you think is worth sharing. What's happened in your life that shocked, delighted, saddened, irritated or inspired you? There are no rules. So start writing. It feels good!
How do I contribute/upload a Article?
After a quick registration process, you can go to My Studio and select the Articles link in the left navigation. In the "My Articles" section, you'll see "Begin writing a Article now". Select that link and you'll be guided through 2 steps. In Step 1, you'll type your Article into a text field, choose the category and sub categories of DivineCaroline that your Article fits into best and then add tags if you want. In Step 2, you'll select a photo from the DivineCaroline Gallery.
Can I save a rough draft of my Article and finish it later?
No problem. Under the Article's text field, look for an icon (it looks like a disc) titled "Save Draft". Clicking this will allow you to save your work and revisit it another time. You'll find your draft in My Studio under My Articles.
When will my Article appear on the site? Will I be notified?
Once you submit your Article, the DivineCaroline editorial team will review the content and unless it's found to be inappropriate, it will be posted soon. The minute your submission is live, we'll send you an email with a link right to your published piece.
Will DivineCaroline make any changes to my Article?
The only changes DivineCaroline editors MIGHT make would be spelling or grammar corrections. We simply can't review every submission in detail, so we strongly encourage you to polish and proof your pieces.
Where can I find my Article?
The easiest way to go directly to your Article is to go My Articles in My Studio where you can view a list of your contributions as links. You can also search for your name, your Article's title or by subject matter.
Will my Article ever be deleted?
All DivineCaroline Articles and Reviews will be archived. And all your contributions will be accessible in My Studio.
Can anyone submit a Review?
Any DivineCaroline Member can submit a Review. And any Member can rate any Review based on how helpful they think it is.
How do I submit a Review?
In the My Reviews section of My Studio, you'll see the "Begin writing a Review" link. Enter information on the topic of the Review and your text. If you want to finish your Review at another time, click "Save Draft".
When will my Review be posted?
Reviews are posted instantly, so please proof them carefully.
Where can I find my Review?
The easiest way to find your Review is to go to My Reviews in My Studio where you can view a list of your contributions as links. You can also search for your name, your Review title or by subject matter.
Will DivineCaroline make any changes to my Review?
The DivineCaroline editorial team doesn't read Reviews before they're published. But Members have the opportunity to report a Review as inappropriate.
What do the stars next to the Review mean?
The stars signify how helpful the community thinks the Review is. If there are no stars, it simply means a Review has not been rated yet.
Do I get paid for contributing Articles or Reviews?
We can't pay Members for their submissions, but we hope you'll value the chance to express yourself and connect with other people.
What if someone uploads copyrighted material?
If any Member knowingly, or unknowingly, submits work that isn't his or her own creation, we will remove it from the site once we are made aware of it. Whoever has assigned their name or any other name to the work will be held responsible.
My favorite recipe is published in a cookbook. Can I share it?
Unfortunately no. But if you've created your own recipe or want to share your grandmother's twist on pecan pie, we'll be happy to publish it.
My favorite article or poem is published in a book. Can I post it?
That's a "no". That poem is someone else's property and protected by copyright laws.
What if someone submits offensive material?
If you find a Article, Review or Forum post, inappropriate, use the "Report as offensive" link near the Comment link. The DivineCaroline editorial team will review your report and remove the material if necessary.
Can I remove a Article or Review from the site after it's been published?
Once your Article or Review is published, you cannot delete it. If it's absolutely necessary, the DivineCaroline editorial team can remove the piece from the site. But you'll need to Contact Us and tell us what the problem is.
My Article was rejected. Why?
DivineCaroline will not publish any Articles that contain profanity or explicitly inflammatory content, such as content that is insensitive to races or religions. And while we know sex is an important topic for many of our Members, we will forgo publishing sexual content that we feel is exploitive. In the unlikely event that your Article is rejected, you'll receive an email from the DivineCaroline editorial team. You're welcome to re-visit a rejected Article. And if you want to talk to us, please send an email through Contact Us.
How do I forward a Article, Review or Contributor's Profile?
Look for the "share" link (the icon is a closed envelope). Clicking this link gives you the opportunity to send an email that includes a preview of the content and a link to the Article, Review or Contributor's Public Profile.
What should I do if I think a Article is inaccurate?
You can post a Comment about the inaccuracy of the material. Or, if you're not comfortable posting a Comment, you can send DivineCaroline a note through Contact Us. If necessary, the DivineCaroline editorial team will contact the Contributor and/or post an Errors and Omissions correction with the Article.

What are tags?
Tags are a quick way to categorize and search for - information. For example, words like Florence and Michelangelo could be tags for a Article about your adventures in Tuscany.
How do I get a product or service reviewed through DivineCaroline?
We'd be happy to assign an appropriate staff member - or members - to try your product or service and right an unbiased Review. Are the people shown in photos next to DivineCaroline Articles really connected to those Articles?
At this point, the majority of the photographs accompanying DivineCaroline Articles are from a stock photo library. The people in the shots are simply models being shown for illustrative purposes only. Wherever possible, our staff writers use photos of people directly related to the article. For example, if you happen to read The Jazz Singer, know that you're looking at the one, the only, the real Barbara Fasano.
How do I tell the world that I liked that Article?
You'll notice an "i liked it" button at the bottom of every article, so if you appreciate something give it a nod. Unless you choose to keep them private, the articles you like will show on your public profile.
You can manage your liked articles AND your favorite Members in a corner of your Studio called "My Liked & Favorites." And to see how the community feels, look for the "Most Liked" and "Must Reads" section next to every Article.
