This second part is one the hardest to write but must be written because I am so tired of the BAD and EVIL people in the world being able to go about their business like nothing happens when they do wrong and WE the GOOD people have to always make adjustments in our lives and stay in our homes scared.
About a week ago one of the worst cases of animal cruelty happened here in the state of Maryland, in Baltimore to be exact. Baltimore has been getting a lot of press lately for how crime is on the rise and that murder is making it number one in the country. As a pet lover I grew up with pets all of my life, my first pet was a terrier named Rufus. He was so cute because he Tabby orange in color and was just the best, Rufus did run away one night chasing a dog in a different neighborhood and we could not find him. My favorite was Squeaky. Squeaky would walk me to my bus stop which was just the corner of my house and she would be there when my bus brought me home. She would be sitting there waiting for me everyday at the right time I really loved that dog. Anyway as I said I am a big pet lover and when I read this story, I wanted to just burst with anger at how cruel people are becoming.
One day last week someone set a Pit Bull Terrier on fire and left her to die in the middle of the street. A police officer and her partner saw the ball of fire in the street and stopped to help. She said she had never heard such a sound come from any animal, she took off her sweater to help put out the fire until the ASPCA came and got the dog. When she and her partner started asking questions the “No Snitching” rule came into affect, actually the officer said that when she went to help the dog people were standing by and laughing and pointing at the dog on fire like it was the funniest thing they had seen. Seriously when did it become okay to set animals on fire and when will the people start to make those that do serious harm to animals really pay for their crimes.
Along with this article there was mention another case of animal cruelty when a man stabbed a cat with an ice pick because the cat urinated on the man’s lawn. The man was acquitted for this crime, no punishment for this atrocity and now people have taken animal cruelty to whole new level. Never mind the fact that dog fighting especially of this breed of dog has risen to a whole new level of debauchery that people have become so desensitized that it really means nothing more than the dog had to die. I can only think of two insane reasons as to why someone would do this to their dog. One the dog had lost a fight and the owner was mad because he lost some money on the fight. And two someone just thought it would be funny to see a dog set on fire they probably thought what harm is it, people use to put fire cracker into the butts of cats and watch them explode t so why should setting a dog on fire be any different. The dog which the vets named Mercy had to be euthanized; all of her fur was burned off along with her eyelids and most of her face. Until someone actually comes forward no one will pay for this crime, and the thing is the people who live in the type of neighborhood this dog was burned wonder why they do not prosper. They wonder why the world says they are animals and that no one dose anything for them, why should anyone do anything for anyone who will do an animal like this. I guess since they do not have any respect for human life why should they have any respect for a dog, or any animal they may have in their possession.
As a woman and as an African-American woman I am so tired of hearing and seeing my people do some of the most ignorant and horrific things in the world. These same people will say other nationalities do them too, and I will say right back does that make it right. They will sell their own mama or sister if the price is right and I am not making this up, this is how bad it has gotten in the African-American community. I am tired of hearing about ten-year-old girls having babies because their mother just had to have a man in the house. I am tired of little boys going around and behaving any type of way like wearing their pants down around their knees, no shirt on of if they are wearing something it is a undershirt tank that they like call a “wife beater” and just plain disrespectful to anyone who is around them. The tanks are named this way because supposedly when you see cops take guys to jail for beating on their wife they are always wearing this type of undershirt. I am getting into the next article part three so I will end it here. Man please … I am sick of it …
