We had terrible storms on and off all last week which got worse on Saturday and really did damage on Sunday. The lattice fence that I fixed during the last wind storm is loose and damaged again, the swing fell forward, the deck was full of green from the limbs and God was nice to us and pruned all the trees, so now we don’t have to. I put out the garbage and went up the street, pulling out others garbage cans that rolled, and one that fell over; my Good Samaritan act for the day. I put out the recycle. Recycle showed up but the garbage people never showed up.
I get home late last night, and my neighbor mowed the front of our lawn for me! He pulled branches out to the curb for the garbage people and pulled out the smaller garbage can that I used on Monday to collect branches. He pulled my big garbage can back in and started filling it with leaves! Wow! What a great neighbor. What a change as well, ever since BL and KV moved out, he’s been 100 per cent helpful. So, I owe him either another t-shirt from my travels or a pineapple upside-down cake which is a favorite of his. It’s like having a good fairy, or like the scene in Sara Crew when the little girls return home to their bare attack and it is filled with food, fine furnishings, warm down quilts and a wood burning fire.
Was briefly at MR’s as well, she is sick right now and took prednisone for it, she has bronchitis and Michael is sick too with a stomach virus. KN is also ill, with a bad cold, but his colds always go straight to his lungs. He is on FISH amoxicillin right now, you can buy it through a catalog and it does the same thing. 500 mg in the a.m. and 500 mg in the p.m.
I did an adoption during the storm of two twin male black kittens. Three month old Roly Poly’s. And the following day, I adopted out a female Lynx Point Siamese Manx around nine months old. The couple has a lot of animals a Newfoundland dog, and three Shih Tzu’s, plus one other cat. Their daughter is in a culinary program at her high school, I didn’t even know they had that here. It begins in ninth grade and in tenth grade you begin the same program at the local college and the credits count toward high school and college. Wow!
The jerk at work, who thought the word “explicit” was an insult … when the managers were explaining to him that I am very explicit (which is a huge compliment), when the jerk was complaining about my notes on loans (even though it doesn’t involve him and is none of his business, as we all have separate clients) … this same jerk was caught SPITTING on people’s food in the office kitchen. They really need to get rid of him that is disgusting. The jerk didn’t seem to think there was anything WRONG with spitting on people’s food, like all people go around spitting on people’s food. WTF? Since the jerk has extreme mood swings, I am wondering if he is bipolar. He also started fights with a couple of the co-workers because one of them called in sick (he twisted his ankle), even though it’s not up to this jerk how much time the other guy gets to have off for that. Wasn’t sure he’d come in this morning … he had to come in two hours earlier because the other guy would be out, but it was optional … a lot of people WANT hours right now, including this jerk. The spitting and screaming is the last straw and our main branch in Orlando called him to set him straight. Oh, the jerk also called the main branch to tell on the guy with the bad foot. He also wanted to know why he was getting voicemail and not a person. WTF? And he is saying all of this to people who are above him in the company? What is that? They are assuming he is senile, he is around seventy-two or seventy-four years old … or a drinker.
So, I had to deal with all this crap last night, even after I got off of work early. Grrrrr. Went to MR’s mobile and took a long hot bath. Cleaned up after the cats, I think its Brownie. Brought over cleaning supplies from her other house and bought her a broom and the tall kind of dustpan at Dollar General (I love those, no bending over to sweep, thank you). Stopped at the store with the cheap coffee, and picked up Folgers bold individuals for MR for one third the price of where she buys it. Also stopped at Pet Supermarket and got cat litter for $4.99 because I had a $5.00 off coupon from them. Also, had Chinese nearby, and they have HUGE shrimps in their shrimp and lobster sauce, so that is TWO places that have that. Their wan ton isn’t as good as the other place though, but the rest of it was excellent and very fresh. Also stopped at Publix for their taste testers, they had salmon with some fabulous sauce and capers, so I bought the capers. And had leftover escargot with pastry and cheese, which must be a North Florida thing, as I’ve never seen it served that way before. Could also be why I was in a great mood until the jerk at work started his crap … all the great “foodie” tastes from the day.
I put another litter pan at the mobile, I thought MR already did and its probably the reason Brownie soiled EVERYWHERE!!! The sink, the tub, the floor, she also appear to have the runs, parasites or toxidia maybe.
Got very little sleep because I didn’t finish all of this until after midnight, and then I woke at four a.m. because I wasn’t sure if the Jerk from work would show up early. But he did. Then I went to sleep in the spare room and hung out with the Siamese babies, but something in there triggered an asthma attack, not good, so I was wheezing on the way to work. Grrrrr. We also got some rain again last night and its overcast now, though this morning was BEAUTIFUL outside, warm and sunny …
