I had purchased a pink stocking for my three-year-old granddaughter a week before Christmas. I left the stocking hanging over the door knob to my closet in my bedroom.
A few days later when I arrived home from work my granddaughter was in the house. I went into my bedroom to change my shoes and she followed me into the bedroom. I wasn’t sure if she saw the stocking because she didn’t comment on it.
I hurriedly escorted her out of the bedroom. About half an hour later while we were driving her home she said, “Grandma I want that pink stocking.” I told her that Santa Claus would be the one to bring her the stocking. She then replied, “Call him on your cell phone and tell him ok?”
