This is a colorful cranberry sauce, great alongside turkey and other dishes. I’ve been making it since I was about eight years old. I volunteered to make it because I knew I’d be able to test it during the process.
Two bags of cranberries
Rind from three oranges
Sugar to taste
Using an old-fashioned grinder (though a Cuisinart will do), slowly grind the cranberries. Strain most of the juice, but not all. At the same time, slowly take the rind from three oranges and add as you go, depending on how colorful you like it. While doing all of this, gradually add sugar to the mixture, testing it constantly for sweetness or tartness. Serve alongside turkey. This makes a great sauce for sandwiches, too.
