Homemade Mashed Potatoes

There’s nothing like some good mashed potatoes. But what if you could make them yourself? Better yet, what if you could make them without milk? This inexpensive meal is sure to be a tasty addition to your day, so long as you’re willing to put out the effort to make it.

5 potatoes
1/2 onion (minced)
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1. Boil some water.
2. When the water starts to boil, put in the potatoes. You'll want to leave them in there for 15 minutes or so.
3. Remove the potatoes and peel them.
4. Put the peeled potatoes in a large bowl with the minced onion, the garlic salt, the ground red pepper, and the ground black pepper.
5. Mash the potatoes for 20 to 30 minutes.

Once you’re done mashing the potatoes, everything will be ready to eat, so dig in! To add some color to this meal, use red onions.
