Just when you’re sure winter will never end, suddenly spring arrives. What joy! Flowers start to show their buds and stick their noses out of places that once only looked cold and dead. Then everything comes to life—even me. It’s hard to be in a bad place in spring. God shows his best handy work in this, my favorite time of the year. Who else but he could have designed the seasons to give us this magnificent renewal each and every year? Just like he renews our hearts after grief, sadness, or loss. Seeing each new flower and shrub come to life helps to keep me on track and reminds me that nothing is worth being sad about for too long. Because there is always spring, when everything is new again.
