“How are you feeling?” A question we get from everyone we encounter friend, foe, stranger yet are you feeling good enough to even make a judgment about your feelings?
How many times does your partner say to you, “You don’t know what you’re saying”? Or the one statement, I for one, truly feel empowerment surge: “You don’t remember what you said last time we discussed this”.
Everything seems to point downward in a woman’s life when her relationship(s) fail. Remember this old chestnut but I find it never loses its appeal, “you brought this all on yourself.” Wow, certainly pushes up the meter on self-esteem. Funny how that statement is only said in anger and usually from those whose opinions we seek to validate our lives. What an oxymoron!
The person you have LOVED as the song says … “Lift you up where you belong” now becomes the balloon popper extraordinaire of the universe. Give that person a medal. Truly there must be a secret “DE” meeting place where all these demotivators, deactivators, deflating, people meet exalting their triumphs.
Feeling good enough … yet ?? For what you might ask sometimes it’s hard just to breathe in and out knowing that if you could just stop everything might end.
The constant influx from media, said so many times before but wait there’s MORE … now get a little older and your shelf life has expired. Hurrah this is now definitely NOT FEELING GOOD ENOUGH.
Don’t turn on the TV especially with the person who hasn’t a clue what it feels like to feel not good enough.
However, I do have hope I just recently saw a “man panty” to help with stomach bulge for MEN and a Spanx tee shirt, maybe insecurity and not feeling good enough is right around the corner for these metrosexuals let’s hope.
Can we say it all together now ladies …
Hey, “you guys brought it all on yourselves.”
Now boys just give us the address for the secret “DE” meeting we feeling good enough now!
