Finding Home

They say that home is where the heart is. Everywhere I go I have always been searching for a place to call home. Being lost in my life for years and just rolling along and not paying any attention to where I was going or what I was really doing.

My search for a new place to live came because I had nowhere to go literally. Family helped me out by giving me a place to stay for a few months, while I got my life sorted out and back on track. Hard is not the word here, it was terrifying. Not knowing where you will be living is hard enough; imagine you're my age….50. And no, life is not always fair but one has got to get up and get moving.

Long story short, I met someone and not the conventional way, over the Internet. Talk about adding more traumas to my life. I was not looking for love, it found me. I moved 1500 miles away from family and friends and I have never ever in my whole life ever imagined I could be this happy. I finally have the love of my life in my life and I am truly thankful and trust me when I say I wake up and pinch myself, just to make sure I am not dreaming. I know God was listening and that he heard me!

So my reason for writing this article/story is to just share it and we hope that one other person who is feeling lost or fed up with it all can know if you really want it, ask—think about it, pray on it, have others help you like I did (our church and family). Everything works out for the better, no matter what it is good or bad. Sometimes you have to go through some difficult times to get to the sweetest parts. And that’s where the blessings and abundances are. We are really grateful to everyone who has helped us get here. It is our wish for everyone else to hold on and have hope and faith and it will be okay. No worries just stay strong! Take care and stay Blessed!
