To continue to move in a new direction, you must be willing to let go of the past. Letting go of the past sometimes mean we have to talk about some of the things that hurt us most.
Letting go is not allowing shame or guilt holding us hostage to a situation or person. Letting go is addressing issues and questions that were never resolved and or answered. Letting go may also mean forgiveness.
Letting go is reassuring your spouse that you love him or her and they’re all you need. Letting go means working through relapses of old behavior. Letting go is making the decision to stay at home instead of hanging out with your buddies.
Letting go is when you want to walk away from it all but your heart says no. Letting go is simply doing things that are a reminder of what it is we want to leave behind.
