Diane Von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Runway Recap New York Fashion Week

The mantra at Diane Von Furstenberg’s spring 2014 show was “be your own oasis.” The collection was all about empowering the DVF woman and having fun with not only yourself, but also with fashion. This dance-worthy show had models walking to the beat of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”—and included an all-star line-up of Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Karen Elson and Naomi Campbell, who was the showstopper—literally. The safari-themed show started with DVF’s classic wrap dress in a black and white print. The show moved from solid blues, reds, and whites into landscape prints, zebra prints, and tribal prints. The collection continued with the crop top trend we’re seeing on almost all of the spring 2014 runways. Some of her most unique pieces included a wood grain-print A-line skirt and crop top, and her tribal-print beaded finale dress.
