DIY Mother’s Day Gift: Anti-Aging Enzyme Peel

For the mom who has everything, and wants nothing more than to spend time with you, treat her to a facial. Spa gift cards are lovely, but there’s something incredibly touching and theraputic about receiving a treatment at home from your incredibly thoughtful daughter! This fruit enzyme and lactic acid facial peel from sought-after esthetician Sarah Kurn exfoliates, softens, and tightens skin while lightening sunspots and preventing future environmental damage. What mom wouldn’t love that? Just add mimosas or a glass of fancy flavored water

Anti-Aging Enzyme Peel

Ingredients
1 papaya, mashed
1 T. sugar
1/2 c. plain, organic yogurt
1 lemon
1/4 t. grape seed oil
1 white hand towel*

Combine mashed papaya and sugar in a small bowl. Apply to cleansed face and gently massage for one minute. Rinse well with warm water. While skin is drying, squeeze one lemon half into a bowl, add yogurt and blend. Apply mixture to face and gently massage. Leave yogurt mask on the skin and fill sink with very warm water. Squeeze remaining half lemon into sink water. Immerse towel in water, ring out, then wrap face, leaving nose exposed. Apply gentle pressure to towel; leave on for 60 seconds. Enjoy the lemon essence by taking slow deep breaths. Remove mask with towel. Apply grape seed oil to entire face by gently tapping into skin. Dab lemon juice on pigment spots as an extra lightening treatment.

*Always use white washcloths and towels on face as the dyes in colored cloths can irritate the skin.
