I don’t remember the last time I checked luggage. I’m far too impatient to wait for it at baggage claim and much too worried about losing my favorite pair of jeans to the special place in the sky where lost luggage goes. Needless to say, my TSA-approved Ziploc is quite the masterpiece. But this Holly doesn’t go lightly by relying on minis and hotel room freebies. Those are fine and dandy, but it feels so much more vacation-like and luxurious to pack a few full-size multitaskers. Whether you’re hopping a plane to some tropical paradise or hitting the road with the entire family, these smart products will see you through spring break and beyond:
Batiste Dry Shampoo ($7.99): Dry shampoo is one of the greatest beauty inventions in the free world. I’ve tried them all, and this is not only one of the most effective, but it comes in a travel size. Spray it at your roots to instantly revitalize dirty hair and give you an extra day between shampoos. In a pinch, it also can double as a volumizer.
Fresh Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15 ($22.50): So much hype around one little and incredibly luxurious tube, yet everything you’ve heard is true. Moisturizing like a balm, laced with just the right amount of color, and packed with sun protection, this is the only lip treat you’ll need on your trip.
Norwex Antibac Cloths ($16.99 for three): You won’t need a facial cleanser when you have one of these magical cloths. They exfoliate and remove dirt and makeup with just water, thanks to the extra-fine microfiber fabric and bacteria-destroying silver particles.
Kate Somerville Clinic-to-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads ($48 for sixteen): As if one of the country’s top estheticians’ bottling her face-changing formulas for the masses wasn’t enough, now Kate has come out with this ingenious and totally portable peel. Swipe the buffing pad on clean skin, leave the solution on for two minutes, rinse, and behold: smooth, flawless, glowing skin.
RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek ($36): Dab this dewy, organic cream on lips, cheeks, and even eyelids for an instant, lit-from-within glow. Designed by makeup artist Rose Marie Swift, the shades are universally flattering and foolproof. Plus, the pot is so compact, you can slip it in your pocket for day trips and touch-ups.
SuperGoop Sunscreen Swipes SPF 30 ($10): The gold standard for serious sun protection, this water-resistant, paraben-free sunblock was already the jam. Now that it comes in handy-dandy wipes, I can take it with me wherever I go without fear of making a mess.
