Some celebrities seem to have that perfectly effortless look all the time. Mary Kate Olsen, Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe and Selena Gomez come to mind with their laid-back choice of wardrobe, long hair and loose waves. To me, boho hair is messy with a slight bend, rather than a more tousled curl (like mermaid waves). Getting such a look seems hard to master, but I have the most simple little trick for you. It's completely fool proof.
To prep, you'll just need a one-inch curling iron, some hair and about 10-15 minutes.
1. Wrap sections of all sizes around your curling iron loosely until heated all the way through. I like to leave my ends out for a more natural look. In fact, I usually only wrap each section around two or three times.
2. Once you release your hair from the curling iron, pull it completely straight as it cools off. This is to relax the curl, giving it that "slight bend" instead of the ringlet-y effect it sometimes has when curled. This will give it a much more effortless look. Which is the whole point of boho.
Repeat until your whole head is done.
I like to keep my boho curls for as many days as possible. You don't even have to worry about touching them up, because a little frizz and a little wildness is part of the goal. All you need is a little argan oil to keep your ends shiny, and some dry shampoo for the roots!.
