Ralph Lauren’s '60s-heavy collection may have missed the mark for spring 2014. Even though the collection was thoughtfully styled, well tailored, and targeted to a slightly younger demographic, the mod creations were very hit-or-miss. The first half of the looks were black and white and business-appropriate—no showstoppers. The show continued with an entirely new idea—Crayola-colored shift dresses, skirt suits, and ball gowns. We then saw a row of crisp, all-white looks, including an amazing moto jacket and well-structured dresses and pants. Overall the collection was a tad confusing, to say the least, but there were some incredible red carpet-worthy dresses. We loved Karli Kloss’ strapless blue gown and the last look, a long, caped red dress.
