What do you get when you put together Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, and Jack Frost in one movie? You get Rise of the Guardians. The animated movie based on the books by Willam Joyce depicts these traditional holiday "guardians" as superheroes and protector of children — and they look and act totally different than we expect. Santa has tattoos, the Easter Bunny has an Aussie accent and the Tooth Fairy looks like a hummingbird.
It was the job of director (and accomplished artist) Peter Ramsey to translate this fantastical world of extraordinary characters on to the big screen with the voice talents of Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, and Jude Law. We had the chance to chat with him about the movie and what it was like creating these childhood guardians.
