We just had our senior kitty Trini cat put to sleep last month after a trying summer. I wanted so much for her to get better but she just kept getting thinner and thinner eventually refusing to eat or drink at all. Our vet said he felt a lump by her stomach but at nearly seventeen years, we decided surgery was not a good idea for her. So the summer we spent as much time as we could trying to get her to eat and loving her as much as we could. A couple weeks ago there was nothing else to do. We took her to the vet for one last time placed her on the soft pillow and said a tearful good-bye.
She has been our furry friend since she was four weeks old and I still cannot believe she is gone. We do have another kitty, and that does help … yet each one had their own personality. And one cannot replace the other.
I miss my Trini cat and maybe always will, she was my special friend … there for me through illness, cancer, and other difficulties. I hope I was there for her at her time of need too.
Farewell my best furry friend, for now.
