One of my closest friends came to work this week very angry and upset. I asked her what was wrong and she said that she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and was so frustrated with him. She had just given birth to their beautiful baby bout almost three months ago and was stressed out about money and bills, which is what the argument was over.
So I asked her if she wanted to talk about it and maybe I can offer any solutions or just listen if she needs to just talk. So she proceeded to tell me the story. He had told her that PG&E was a luxury and she should just turn it off. (Never mind the fact that she a three-month-old baby, and an eleven-year-old son. And if you turn the PG&E off, that you wont have a working stove, refrigerator, or hot water.) He didn’t say the cable or sports channel that is extra, just for him, or anything about the two puppies he left over there for her to take care of. Nope … just turn off the PG&E.
She then told me that she asked him, well … how did you take a shower or heat up any water? (This is my favorite part.) He says … on the stove.
Humpf … how did you heat it on the stove?
We turned it on and lit it, it was a gas stove.
That’s pretty amazing since PG&E stand for pacific gas and electric company you dumb ass. So your PG&E wasn’t off!
I couldn’t help myself and I just started laughing. She said its not funny, I’m really mad. I laughed some more.
I said look, it’s like this. You don’t get mad at your baby when he throws up on you, right? Its not his fault or like he’s doin it on purpose. And with mentally challenged people, you cant get mad at them for doing something that they cant and dont understand. The same applies for stupidity and ignorance. So why are you mad? He obvioulsy doesnt know any better.
So … hey Lisa?
Did you know PG&E was a luxury? HAHAHAHA
Girl, shut up … lol. Okay, it is funny.
