I am known for my iced tea by Jeff’s and Steve’s friends. Now, my boys make it all the time and claim to make it better than me! Jeff’s friends have even opted for the tea over beer. Asking them why they pick the tea, they say that they can get beer anytime but that my tea is a special treat. My boys don’t get that at all. There is always tea in the fridge. And if there wasn’t any for some reason, they figured they could make it themselves.
It’s so easy and so much better tasting that that junk you buy in a jar or bag.
To make one gallon you will need:
- Ten tea bags
- About 1/2 to 3/4 cups sugar or Xylitol (a natural sugar substitute)
- 1.5 quart pot
Don’t squeeze the bags, as this makes tea bitter. You can, however, rinse the water through the tea bags when filling your pitcher. You will first have to pour your second batch of concentrate into another container.
