If you are finding yourself feeling stuck, not making progress toward what you want, or discovering that you are off-track but don’t know why, the answer is in your energy. What’s happening is that you are spending your time in spin because your energy field has built up extra ‘gunk’ in it.
Think of it like this: if fifty people were all to touch a glass door, they would leave a handprint on it and the door would get bleary and smudgy, right? What if the glass door didn’t get cleaned and fifty more people touched it the next day? And then the next day, the same thing—you get the idea. That glass door is going to get messy, hard to see through and it’s all from the effects of multiple people touching it. The same thing happens for your energy every day.
As you go about your day, your energy field comes into contact with a lot of people. And those people’s energy fields leave an energetic handprint in your energy field. By the end of the day, that can leave you feeling tired, cranky, not like yourself, or just plain flat. Just like a shower at the end of a workout, or clearing your desk at the end of the day, your energy field needs systematic clearing in order to release what doesn’t belong to you.
Three Simple Energy Clearings You Can Do Today
1. Return to Sender: Our bodies hold the energies of our lives, including what we come into contact with or empathy (allow in psychically) that doesn’t belong to us. You will know if this is the case if you are having a great day, stop to talk with a friend who is having a hard day, and suddenly feel bad. You have just picked up their energetic baggage, which is nice but it’s not your job. You can’t handle their emotional baggage any more than someone can handle yours. Simply say “Return to Sender” while focusing on your emotional well-being to allow you to give them their baggage back for proper handling.
2. Visualize Release: Quantum physicists are proving that all matter is comprised of dense energy, and internally-focused energy becomes thought patterns. As the creator of these thought patterns, you can un-create them. By catching the thoughts in your mind that don’t feel good in your body, you can visualize throwing them into a trash can, sending them down the drain or allow them to float away in surrender to your higher power (whatever that may be). As you visualize the release of non-supporting thoughts, your energy will become naturally more clear.
3. Express Gratitude: It is impossible for darkness to exist where there is light, and the same goes for perceptions of hurt and scarcity in the presence of gratitude. By taking a moment to acknowledge all that you have, and all that you are, you are tuning into higher vibration energy, which invites it to come into your life in a bigger way. As you invite gratitude to become more tangible in your life, there is just not enough room to hold useless negativity any longer. You are at choice about how you want to spend your energy when you are in gratitude for what you have already created, and acknowledge it for being in your life.
Energy clearing is as important as brushing your teeth daily or taking regular showers. By honoring the consistent release of the energy that doesn’t serve you, you will find that you have a lot more of it.
