It is spring here, which means the weather is unpredictable. One day, it could be as cold as December and the next, bright and sunny with a warm feeling of “Yeah, life is beautiful.” You get the drift right? On one of those sunny days, husby and I decided to go grocery shopping. Yeah, we are fun like that! And I see this woman in shorts with neatly shaved legs and a sweater. And all I could think was, How on Earth did she make time to scrub, shave, and glow those legs just before stepping out when the day before that was as cold as hell? Me, I need at least two days in advance before I can wear shorts or a skirt on cold spring days. We have all come across the kind of women walking in shorts the minute the weather warms up, haven’t we? Well, not necessarily a shorts-wearing woman, but someone who always manages to look good, no matter what. The one with the perfect bangs all the time, even when the wind is blowing at 70 mph. The one who is dressed to the tee from head to toe with perfect nails and clipped toes a.l.l.t.h.e.t.i.m.e. I have always wondered how they manage to look like they walked straight out of a magazine cover. Looking at them makes me want to run home, shave, press my hair poker straight, use my glowy makeup, and walk out in high heels … lol! Or makes me want to call up my hair salon for an appointment asap. That reminds of this quote from SATC (deep, huh!): “I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it.” And I have come to terms with that! Do any of you feel this way or am I the only one? Have you ever been bit by the green bug?
